Gah, I just got an email from Typepad, this blog's host, that they are shutting down at the end of September! There are instructions for exporting all my posts since March 2004 (!!!!!), but I'm nervous about it. Hopefully I can figure out somewhere else to park this thing, for the 8 or 10 of you who still read it… Stay tuned.

I’m very upset about it because I’m not sure that if I can even export it to my computer, it won’t import easily into a new platform. It was a great ride for 20+ years.

Same here –3,400+ posts dating back to 2006. I had no luck with the export function and am clueless about what to do with the content if I manage to salvage it. And then there are all the soon-to-be-dead links from elsewhere to the blog.

Oh, I’ve never used them, but thanks for sharing that. I’m sure a lot of writers will want to know that’s happening.
